Birthday's - Past and Present

I thought it would be neat to see how much Christian has grown from his first birthday to his second. I didn't realize how chunky he was. He is so cute and everyday he changing into a more handsome boy!!! The first picture if from his 1st birthday and the next one is from his 2nd.

Slide

Christian loves to play outside and is very active. He especially loves slides!!!!!

Jugs Bay

So one of our goals as a family is to eventually own a boat. Back in June we went looking at some as well as some neat places to take our boat.

These pictures were taken at Jugs Bay. This is a really neat park. It had some museums to look at, hiking trails and some really neat views.

It was so hot that day!!! I think it was in the high 90's and it was also extremely humid. So we didn't stay to long.

Christian also enjoyed seeing the fish and snakes!

Finger Painting

Here is Christian on his birthday (8/15/08). We had a party for him a couple days later but just did something special for him the day of his birthday. We bought him some finger paint and he loved it. I think he colored 5 pictures that night.















We took this opportunity to try to teach him his colors. This was before he started school. Now he nows all his colors, he can recite his ABC's, count to 25 and also has an understanding of counting. So if you have 3 objects in your hand he will count 3 and if you have 5 he will count 5 and so on. He also knows his shapes, days of the week and the months of the year. He is so smart!!!!

Bike

Here is a picture from June. This was the first time we actually took his bike outside. He did really well, although he couldn't reach the peddles. He just pushed him self along. But we live on a hill so he didn't have to work to hard. Isn't he cute!!!!!!

Cousins

Here are some pictures of Christian's cousins. I had my nieces and nephews sleep over back in May. Which means I had 6 kids in my house. But it was not as crazy as I thought it might be, it was really fun!!!

Family Vacation to Florida (May 2008)

Ok, So I am starting more than a few months back but I think it's worth it. These are pictures from our family vacation to Florida. This is Christians 2nd trip to Florida but it was the first time he was able to see his cousins and great grandma! It was also his first trip the zoo (we went to Busch Gardens) and he had a blast! Rod and I both agreed that this was the best family vacation to date. We were able to relax and visit family, it was sooooo much fun!!!!

Christian absolutely loved the Gorillas. Someone from church gave him spending money for vacation (isn't that awesome!), so we bought him a stuffed animal of a Gorilla.



He was trying to point to a plane in the sky but the sun was to bright.

Ok, so I have finally decided to try this blogging thing out. I have always thought that it was a great way to stay connected with family and friends but I just never found the time to do it. Anybody that knows me, knows that I have a very hectic schedule. But I have decided to make time for this, especially for my family and friends that I don't get to see as often as I like.
